What's New @ Big Day Media

A Big Year for Big Day Media — More Music, More Projects.

It’s been a huge year at Big Day Media. We produced all the audio-visual content for the Australian Country Music Awards in Tamworth — our 11th year running — and launched our own YouTube show, The Big Blues Jam Online.

We’ve also been busy filming gigs, promo clips, and studio sessions for some of Sydney’s top musicians, all while upgrading the studio with new gear, including fresh Blackmagic cameras and our new green screen wall.

Here are just a few recent highlights:

TCMF2025 - Toyota Golden Guitar Awards - Highlights

Introducing: The Wall — A Portal of Infinite Possibilities

At Big Day Media, we’ve just added a new feature to the studio: a full-sized green screen wall. We call it The Wall — A Portal of Infinite Possibilities.

Whether you need a client update, a product demo, social media content, or a music video, the green screen lets us drop you into any setting imaginable — from a construction site to a news studio or a snowy mountain.

With professional lighting and high-quality cameras, we make sure it looks real, not cheap and gimmicky.

Introducing: The Big Blues Jam Online

We’re proud to officially launch The Big Blues Jam Online — a new YouTube series from Big Day Media, celebrating live blues music with a mix of local talent and special guests.

We’ve teamed up with Greg Nunan from Muso Mastery, along with Tony Boyd and Jed Wesley-Smith, to bring the show to life — combining live multi-camera performances, interviews, and plenty of raw blues energy.

The Felas at The Factory Theatre

Big Day Media recently worked with The Felas — a powerhouse Afrobeat band playing to a sold-out crowd at The Factory Theatre.

We looked after both the content and the promotion:

Multi-camera video shoot

Multitrack audio recording

Facebook ads campaign, including creative content, setup, targeting, and management

Between the video production and running the ad campaign, we helped push things toward a full house.

Music, Music, and More Music — National Mentor Conference for Music in Me

Earlier this year, Big Day Media had the opportunity to film something a little different: a two-day symposium for the Music in Me program.

Held on April 10–11, 2025, the event brought together 51 mentors from all over Australia — NSW, SA, QLD, VIC, NT, and WA.

Over two days, these passionate music educators shared knowledge, collaborated, and built their community — all while fitting it into their already packed end-of-term schedules.

We filmed the key sessions and captured the energy in the room to help document and promote the great work Music in Me is doing.

Studio Session: Demo Reels for Matt Ross & Shane Flew

Earlier this month, Big Day Media had Matt Ross and Shane Flew in the studio — two familiar names in Sydney’s blues scene.

We recorded a live set for both artists, capturing:

Clean multi-track audio

A two-camera video shoot to showcase both performance and vibe

The goal? To create polished demo reels they can use for booking gigs, promoting new music, or updating their online profiles.

It’s a simple but powerful format: live, honest performances without the distractions.

Simon Kinny-Lewis: "Pouring Water on a Drowning Man" YouTube Promo Clip

Big Day Media recently filmed a studio-style promo video for Simon Kinny-Lewis, one of Sydney’s top blues guitarists signed to German label XYZ Music.

The video was created to promote the release of his latest album, Pouring Water on a Drowning Man, giving fans a simple, engaging visual to go along with the track.

Since going live, it’s picked up over 32,000 views on YouTube and counting.

We’re looking forward to the year ahead — continuing to collaborate on projects across music, events, and the arts. That includes our ongoing work producing TV commercials for entertainment venues in Tamworth, as well as teaming up with the Sydney Blues Society on events like the 2025 Blues Awards and masterclass workshops.
